Intrigued, he asked around about her, leading to a charming but initially unsuccessful three-day attempt at winning her over.
Despite Elena’s initial coldness, Greg’s persistence paid off when he finally asked her on a date. Their connection blossomed quickly, and after just five months of dating, the couple tied the knot in a small civil ceremony in New York City in late 2004.
