Hakeem Olajuwon and Dalia Asafi – Together since 1996
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, the former NBA superstar Hakeem Olajuwon had an impressively long-lasting career. He played professionally in the big league between 1984 and 2002, representing the Houston Rockets franchise for the vast majority of the time. Perhaps one of the best Centers ever, he was included in the NBA’s 50th- and 75th-anniversary teams.
From 1996 onwards, he’s been lovely supported by his wife, Dalia Asafi, who shares his Muslim beliefs. Olajuwon and Asafi have four children together. Olajuwon has a fifth child from a previous relationship and, for the most part, enjoys keeping his private affairs away from the spotlight.
