The Batman sign, as many call it, has been a fictional symbol of distress used by the Gotham City Police department. It was first incorporated in 1939 when it was issued in the 27th volume of Detective Comics. The symbol was always directed at the fictional superhero Batman.
Although fictional, it didn’t stop people from printing the symbol in real life. While some were done with fabric materials, this one was done with sunscreen and a sunburn. It came out quite clean, but the resulting stinging sensation would be a lot to deal with. That is, if there are no other fatal side effects to it.
