Michelle Phillips (77) – Dillinger

Michelle Phillips rose to fame as a member of the quartet, “the Mama and the Papas,” who made songs like “California Dreamin” and “Creeque Alley.” She co-founded the group with John Philips in 1965, three years after she met and wedded him. The group dissolved in 1970, and Michelle also split from her husband, John. Then, she moved into movies, featuring in “The Last Movie,” which was made in 1971.

Her role in the 1973 movie “Dillinger” earned her a nomination at the Golden Globe Awards. She would star in other movies such as “The Death Squad,” “The California Kid,” “Valentino,” and “Bloodline.” In September 2021, Philips spoke on being proud of her contributions to the movie “Knots Landing.”
