Eerie Abandoned Disney Attractions You Never Knew Existed

Italy’s Oldest and Largest Amusement Park in Rome

LunEur, the oldest and largest amusement park in Italy, located in Rome, has a rich history dating back to 1953 when it was set up for the Agricultural Fair. The authorities later opened it year-round in 1960 and received its current name through a referendum in 1965.

After experiencing some lean times in the early 21st century, the park was closed in 2008 to guarantee the area’s safety, and it remained that way until 2016. The park underwent renovations during the closure, and most of the original rides were dismantled and replaced with new attractions when it reopened. Although, it has been closed again since 2020.
