Mowgli’s Creepy Palace
Mowgli’s Palace was a short-lived Disney resort located near the beachside city of Emerald Isle, North Carolina. Inspired by the success of “The Jungle Book,” Disney executives decided to create a jungle-themed resort on a tropical island. However, issues arose due to the need for more space for construction, and they had to seek help from the federal government.
After acquiring the necessary property, construction on the resort was completed, and visitors started arriving. However, the attraction faced countless complications, including the appearance of faceless children and malfunctioning mascot suits. The place was shut down shortly after opening, and it remains abandoned.
