Eerie Abandoned Disney Attractions You Never Knew Existed

The Rainbow Tunnel

Just take a look at this beautiful scene! The Rainbow Tunnel at Epcot’s Imagination Pavilion was once a beloved attraction, captivating guests with its futuristic, sensory experience. It was located within the Sensor, a part of the large ImageWorks play area on the building’s second floor. Michael Jackson even did a photoshoot inside the rainbow tunnel during its peak popularity in the ’80s.

However, after renovations in 1992, the second floor was closed, leaving the fate of the attraction uncertain for two decades. In 2016, it reopened as a DVC lounge, but Disney hinted in 2019 that the tunnel might feature in the Epcot Experience Center in The Odyssey.
