Abandoned Disney Attractions You Never Knew Existed

Japan’s Eerie Abandoned Wild West Amusement Park

Western Village Haikyo, a Wild West-themed amusement park in Japan, was a popular destination until it officially closed to the public in 2007. Despite being abandoned for over a decade, it still attracts visitors fascinated by its eerie charm. The park was originally a ranch that provided fishing and lassoing lessons before the lot’s expansion in 1975 to include facades for saloons and other structures.

It was then renamed Western Village, featuring animatronic characters, including a version of John Wayne, and even had live gun battles. Today, the abandoned park looks like a spooky Old West movie set, with locked buildings and deserted robots.
